Medfield Favorite 'Acoustic Fire' to Perform Thursday at Gazebo

Rockland Trust hosts "Acoustic Fire" Thursday at the Gazebo in front of the Medfield Public Library as part of MEMO's Summer Concert Series.

The weekly MEMO concerts continue Thursday with the return of a Medfield favorite, “Acoustic Fire,” hosted by Rockland Trust.

The 10-week concert series, sponsored by the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization is also supported by Needham Bank, a MEMO member, its corporate sponsor for the 2011 season.

Bands begin playing at 6 p.m. at the Gazebo, adjacent to the library on Main Street. Gazebo Park is a great place for family picnics and the evening’s entertainment is free and open to the public.

"Acoustic Fire" features lead singer Maria Breen and Leon Barzin on guitar and is known for its rock, country rock and dance music. Maria and Leon have been acoustically together for about four years entertaining crowds along a broad swath of the suburban Hub including Medfield for the past several years.

On Aug. 4 a new jazz group, “The Shane Wood Trio” featuring Medfield’s Shane Wood on piano will perform. Two local organizations, The Medfield Cultural Council and Lowell Mason Foundation, will share hosting honors.
