Gas Prices Down 21 Cents From Last Month

The lowest gas in Medfield today is $3.46 compared to $3.67 this time last month.

 

 

The price of gas in Medfield is down 21 cents from this time last month, and the town's average gas price of $3.51 a gallon is 14 cents less than the state average.

AAA’s March 18th survey of gas prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.659 per gallon, four cents less than a week ago. Prices locally are down seven cents over the past month.

The current price is three cents less than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.68. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.73.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 38 cents, from a low of $3.51 to a high of $3.89.

AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area (and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.)

Today, the average price of a gallon of regular gas in Medfield is $3.51, the lowest end of the Massachusetts range.

But there's even better news for Medfield drivers. 

The least expensive gallon of gas in Medfield today is being sold at Cumberland Farms for $3.46 a gallon -- five cents lower than the lowest reported price in Massachusetts. Plus, members of the Cumberland Farms SmartPay program receive an additional 10 cents off for a price of $3.36 a gallon.

Other Medfield gas prices include Irving at $3.51 a gallon, Sunoco at $3.52 a gallon, and Gulf at $3.55 a gallon.
