Frugal Family: Black Friday Blowouts

Black Friday can be intimidating, but here's a strategy to make the best of it: Start with a list, search for coupons, start with your most expensive items from the list and locate your deals before venturing out.

1. Coupon Mountain

Coupon Codes, Promo Codes, and Free Online Coupons – you can print out coupons to take with you on Black Friday, or use them to stay home and shop online in your PJs. There’s a 40 percent off coupon to Justice good for the entire holiday season. The local stores will accept this online code for in store purchases. There are also printable coupons for Kohl’s, Dell, Amazon, and more! You don’t even have to enter a code at checkout for online shopping. Use this website to search deals by product or store, sign up for the daily email list and have the hottest deals emailed to you, or join the BFAds community to take advantage of even more member benefits. And yes, they have an app for that for your iPhone.

This website has ads for pre-Black Friday deals, allows search by product and/or company, and is full of information about this shopping extraganza. Feeling overwhelmed and confused? Visit their Black Friday Frequently Asked Questions page for answers and tips.

4. Walmart

Deal Time: Thursday evening and all day Friday

Walmart is offering three separate Black Friday events. Toys and more will be offered at significant discounts on Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. Electronics specials will be featured at 12:00 a.m., Friday morning.
