Electric Time to Lead MEMO in 2011-12

Electric Time's Brandie Morris, also a member of Medfield's Downtown Study Committee, will succeed the out going president Suzy Ferrantino, who has led the group for the past five years.

Brandie Morris, representative to MEMO, the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization, was elected at the annual meeting in May to lead the organization over the next year. Morris, also member of Medfield’s Downtown Study Committee, succeeds out going president Suzy Ferrantino, Prospect Mortgage’s representative, who has led the group for the past five years, filling in for president elect of Boston Building Consultants when his job responsibilities required him to step down.

Officers serving with Electric Time represent MEMO members from: Beginning Years Child Development Center, vice president and Rockland Trust Bank, treasurer.

Newly elected to two-year terms on the board of directors were representatives of Custom Copper and Slate, and Closet & Storage Concepts. Continuing to serve out their second year on the board are , and Barry Parker, United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) instructor

The Nominating Committee: consisted of representatives of Wills Hardware, the Law Office of Russ Hallisey and Mary Roque, Attorney.

MEMO is the local business organization similar to a Chamber of Commerce. Member dues, profits from the annual fall fair, Discover Medfield Day, corporate sponsors and member support make it possible to host many events, including free summer concerts, holiday tree lighting and parade, flags flown through the business districts on national holidays and scholarships to graduating seniors at Medfield and Tri-County Regional Vocational High Schools. Discover Medfield History Day, the annual trolley tour of historic sites with the town historian usually is the only event requiring a paid ticket.

MEMO’s mission is to promote local area businesses, services, industries and professionals as a resource for residents. Membership is open to all doing business in or serving Medfield. Additional information may be found on the MEMO website.
