Crews Remove Iconic Sign from Lord's in Medfield

Crews removed the sign in Medfield on Saturday morning.

Residents in Medfield and former customers of the long-time local business Lord's will no longer see the store's iconic red sign glowing atop the building on Main Street.

The landmark sign was removed Saturday morning and will be held in storage, according to the Medfield Remembers Lord's Facebook page. Crews can be seen removing the sign in photos posted to the Medfield Patch Facebook page over the weekend.

Representatives for Roche Bros. plan to use the building for what has been dubbed as "Brother's Market" with project plans that were approved by the Medfield Planning Board in December, and were previously approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Health.
