Color of New Brothers Marketplace Emerges in Medfield

Tell us what you think of how the building looks so far.

As the summer approaches, the new Brothers Marketplace is getting closer and closer to opening in Medfield.

The Roche Bros.-owned specialty grocery store is tentatively set to open this July, and crews have completed construction on the sidewalk in front of the business. More recently, a new light-green color on the front of the building, formerly owned by the iconic Lords Department Store, emerged.

Today, we're wondering what Medfield residents think about the development of the business as the opening day nears.

Tell us, what do you think of the initial colors of Brothers Marketplace? Let us know in the comments section below!

Let's not forget this is private property. Who (02052) appointed you the czar of good taste . Welcome to the 21st. century.

I reserve judgement until the final exterior is completed.

Love it! Great concept. It adds an earthy, artsy, updated flair to the downtown landscape. Simple, small, sustainable - and walkable for many! Fresh produce, providing local products as well as the diversity of unique, wholesome products from around the country. Brothers Weston is said to carry Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams - Awesome!! Farm fresh flavors from the Midwest. I have been trying to get Jeni to bring a scoop shop to Boston. I'm thrilled and think we should be grateful. Let's not judge a book by its cover. It is what is on the inside that counts.

Let's wait and see. Why is it that people are jumping the gun. Let's give Roche Bros. a fair chance. We're fortunate to have them open a Brothers Mkt. in Medfield. Why have the building empty for years like the Clark Tavern!

While I'm not crazy about the lime green facade, I'm with the "wait and see crowd". Personally, I'd rather see all of this energy spent on saving the Clark Tavern instead! The loss of that building is what will truly hurt Medfield. A paint color is nothing in comparison.
