Blue Moon Now Serving Frozen Yogurt (and 15 Toppings)

The ZBA granted Blue Moon permission to add an outside frozen yogurt cart.

The Zoning Board of Appeals has granted Blue Moon's request to sell frozen yogurt on its patio.

In a unanimous decision issued last week, the ZBA granted permission to Blue Moon Bagel Cafe at 236 Main Street (Shaw's Plaza) to "allow the additional outdoor use and set-up of a soft serve yogurt cart with its attendant water and electric hook-ups."

Patrons can now enjoy a choice of chocolate, vanilla or twist frozen yogurt and can add their choice of 15 toppings including cookie dough bites, Oreo crumbs, gummy bears, Reese's Pieces chips, Heath bar, M&Ms, oats, granola, sprinkles, walnuts, chocolate chips, cherries, and more.

In addition, the decisions states: 

I. The hours of operation of the bagel cafe shall continue to be from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM Sunday through Thursday and 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.

  1. The use of the serving cart outdoors for soft serve yogurt shall be from the Saturday of Memorial Day [weekend] through September 30th each year. The serving cart shall be brought indoors at the close of business each evening.

  2. There shall not be more than 14 employees on site at anyone time. There shall not be more than six linear feet of take out service counter. There shall not be more than 54 seats.

  • Any sign visible from the exterior of the Property shall be in accordance with the Town of Medfield Sign By-law.

  • The Applicant shall make no alteration to the exterior of the building.
