AAA: Gas Prices Down This Week, This Month, But Higher Than A Year Ago

AAA says local gas prices are down 18 cents over the past month.

 

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down three cents this week, according to

AAA’s Nov. 19 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.58 per gallon, three cents less than last week.

Prices locally are down 18 cents over the past month.

The current price is 17 cents above the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.41.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.33.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 40 cents, from a low of $3.45 to a high of $3.85. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time.
