COOKOUT #3 AT COA: ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MEDFIELD

The Center in Medfield rocks every day of the week (it is closed on weekends) but if one has to choose just one day, then Wednesday is the day to choose. It ROCKS. Take the other day, July 10, 2013. The day started with normal routine: floor exercises, followed by chair exercises and lunch and then a very robust afternoon.

  1. 2.30          MOVIE “QUARTET” with Maggie Smith
  2. 2.30          Learn Ball Room DANCING
  3. 4.00          BINGO
  4. 5.00         Cocktail Hour cheese and crackers wine/beer/soft drinks
  5. 6.00          Cookout Dinner: subs, macaroni, fruit salad, potato chips, cookies (many kinds) cakes of all description.
  6. 5.00 – 7.00         Music and Dancing: line dancing. Slow dance, waltz, fox trot, general dancing (ancient and modern). I had fun with the Sweet Woman tune.

Subway of Medfield owner Raj Patel sponsored the cookout. The franchise donated 100 subs, chips, sodas and cookies as a way to sponsor the evening and to give Medfield residents a merry evening and to sponsor COA programs. Cakes came from Shaw’s of Medfield. Music was by Dave Mahar.

If you missed last Wednesday, all is not lost, Next Wednesday July 17 promises to be even better. This is the annual “SOCK HOP” themed cookout sponsored by the Medfield Fire Department. Music will be by Jeff Jarvis. All the items above would be repeated except a different menu!
