MHS Graduate Awarded Apprenticeship with Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Matt Aucoin, a 2008 MHS graduate, was chosen from an international pool of applicants.

 

Matthew Aucoin, a 2008 Medfield High School graduate, is described as a "versatile rising star on the classic music scene," according to Boston.com's 'The Names Blog: All the Buzz on Celebraties.' 

Aucoin, 23, was recently awarded the Second International Sir Georg Solti Conducting Apprenticeship with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a prestigious two-year training program. He was chosen from among 119 conductors from 29 different countries.
