Medfield Cultural Council Presents Pair of Jazz Concerts This Week

Both jazz concerts are to raise money for restorations and renovations at Lowell Mason House.

Medfield music lovers are in store for a great week of jazz music to to be held at the First Parish Church on 26 North St.

 On Thursday April 28th, The Fringe will perform at 8 p.m. at The First Parish Church.  The Fringe consists of George Garzone on Tenor Saxophone, Bob Gullotti on Drums and John Lockwood on Bass. The group is a critically acclaimed mainstay on the local Boston Jazz scene with over 30 years of playing experience. Recently, band members have recorded and performed with such legendary groups as The Grateful Dead and Phish. 

On Saturday April 30th at 8 p.m. local resident and trumpeter Tom Duprey will perform with TickleJuice. The band also includes James Merenda on alto saxophone, guitarists David Hawthorne and Jef Charland, Sean Farias on bass and Miki Matsuki on drums.

These concerts are supported in part by a grant from the Medfield Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The musical performance space has been graciously donated by the First Parish Church. The proceeds from both concerts will be used to help renovate and restore the historic Lowell Mason House. Tickets for each show are $10 for adults and $7 for students.
