For the Kids: The Green Apple Kids Band to Play at Gazebo Thursday

MEMO's Summer Concert Series brings the Green Apple Kids Band to the Gazebo on Thursday.

The Green Apple Kids Band will perform at the Gazebo on Thursday, July 14 thanks to MEMO, the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization, its corporate sponsor for the 10-week concert series and of Medfield. In the event of cancellation due to rain, the will host a family friendly movie in the lower floor meeting room beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Thursday night concerts begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. or dusk.

The park, adjacent to the library, is a great place for a supper picnic.  Bring chairs or blankets, your picnic or grab a bite from local merchants and enjoy the show. This band really is interactive with the kids so bring them especially this week. How appropriate that Beginning Years Child Development Center is the host for this band.

Jackie, Rob and Steve love to celebrate the earth with eco-tunes that they write with ages 2-8 in mind to honor nature, animals and recycling. Their performance, complete with visiting friends from the puppet world, takes place in the imaginary apple orchard. Ty the Woodsman and Willa the Worm, buddies who oversee the care of the green apple trees, help the band present a lively and entertaining show that children love and learn from. A playfully mischievous Sock Monster, a strong advocate of Energystar appliances, who loves to steal socks from the dryer is also a favorite of the youngsters at each show.  For those who enjoyed performances by Flooky and the Bean, this group enjoys the same creator.
