MEMO's Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

The holiday season officially begins with MEMO's annual holiday tree lighting ceremony tonight at 7 p.m. at Baxter Park.

The annual winter outing for families and friends begins with the tree lighting and carol singing at 7 p.m., when the switch is thrown for the large Christmas tree that transforms the park into a wonderland of lights and music.

A new feature this year will be the performances by four winners of the Joy to the World Singing Contest, judged earlier in the week following auditions. This is also the event when children ages 4 and up may sign up for the lottery that selects six elves to ride on Santa’s sleigh in Saturday’s parade, beginning at 1 p.m. on Dec. 3 at . The parade marches up South Street, along Main Street and down Park Street before returning to the school.
