Weekend Planner: Oct. 21-23

A Night of Blues, House Of Horrors and Historical Homes on the calendar this weekend.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have are not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just don’t cut it anymore, then don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home. 

1. 3rd Annual Kingsbury Classic 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

When/Where: , 2 Ice House Road, Medfield; Sat., Oct. 22, 9 a.m.

Why Go: The 3rd Annual Kingsbury Classic 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run features a 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 9 a.m., followed by the 5K at 10 a.m. All net proceeds of the race will provide scholarships for local high schools and will give support to a wide range of youth and community services. There are cash prizes for the top 3 male and female finishers as well as medals to the top 3 males and females in each age group. Lunch will be provided to all runners in Bogey's Restaurant at the Kingsbury Club. Post Race festivities will include Live Music, BBQ and Brew, Massage, Moon Bounce and kids’ activities.

2. Craig Sonnenfeld to Perform at Perks Coffeehouse

Where/When: , 685 Washington St., Norwood; Fri., Oct. 21, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a night of folk music by singer, songwriter and Guitarist Craig Sonnenfeld.

3. Improv Soup

Where/When: Burrell Elementary School, 16 Morse St, Foxboro; Fri., Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a night of great comedy. Improv Soup is an improvisational comedy troupe made up of teenagers from all over southeastern Massachusetts.

Pricing: $3 Students/Seniors $5 Adults

4. Zullo Gallery Exhibit

Where/When: , 456A Main St. Medfield; Saturday & Sunday Oct. 22 & 23, noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go:  Zullo Gallery’s art exhibit "17th Annual Juried Exhibition" will be on display every Saturday and Sunday until Nov. 7. Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

5. Natick Farmers Market

Where/When: Natick Farmers Market, 1 Common St., Natick; Sat. Oct. 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: The Farmers Market features a variety of food vendors, farmers, music and crafters every week.  This week vendors include: Dave Geyman Oil Paintings, Alpaca Products, Amy Weader Knits & Jewelry, Rock Candy Jewelry, Merdis Doll Clothes, Marissa Langevin Jewelry, DLRochman Jewelry, VintageThreads Clothworks, Lyndsey's Infantswear, Sean Sullivan Woodworks & Madkat Hoops.
