Weekend Planner: MHS Fashion Show, Giant Yard Sale and St. Patty's Day

Here's a look at some events happening in Medfield this weekend, March 16-18.

The weekend is just around the corner. If the only plans you have is not to stay home because lounging on the couch and watching TV just isn't cutting it anymore, then don't worry, Medfield Patch is here to assist you! Check out our list of suggestions of events to attend, places to go, sites to see – all within driving distance of home. 

1. First Parish Indoor Yard Sale

Where/When: , 26 North St, Medfield; Sat., March 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Looking for great items priced to sell? The First Parish yardsale will include many great items donated by many families. There is something for everyone, including housewares, books, toys and games, albums, CDs and DVDs, small appliances, electronics, knick knacks, bicycles, gently used furniture and much more! Yard Sale proceeds will help to maintain Medfield's 1789 Meeting House.

Pricing: Free and open to all.

2. 19th Annual ANGP MHS Fashion Show

Where/When: , 88 r South St., Medfield; Saturday, March 17, 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Medfield High School seniors will model fashions from area retailers to raise funds for the MHS 2012 All Night Graduation Party.

Pricing: $20 per person.

3. Dale Street School Talent Show

Where/When: , 45 Adams St.; Friday, March 16, 7:30 p.m. and Sat., March 17, 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

 Why Go: Mr. Mike Mason will be hosting the annual "Dale Street School Talent Show" featuring the entertaining talents of the fifth grade students.

Pricing: $5 per person.

4. St. Patrick's Day Celebration at St. Edward Parish

Where/When: , 133 Spring St., Medfield; Saturday, March 17, 6 p.m.

Why Go: St. Edward Parish will hold a St. Patrick's Day family celebration immediately following the 5 p.m. mass at 6 p.m. The evening will include a corned beef dinner (or chicken cutlet or hot dog for the little ones), Irish Step Dancers, music, crafts and prizes for most festive dress.

Pricing: $15 per adult, $5 per child. All are welcome.

5. Medfield Foundation's Volunteer Award Reception

 Where/When: Center at Medfield, 1 Ice House Rd., Medfield; Sunday, March 18, 4 p.m.

Why Go:  The Medfield Foundation volunteer award reception, sponsored by Rockland Trust, is open to the public, and nominees’ friends, members and colleagues are especially encouraged to attend. This year's recipients are John Harney (Lifetime Achievement Award), Bill Massaro (Volunteer of the Year Award) and Medfield High School junior Jane Garofalo (Youth Volunteer of the Year Award).
