Members of the Medfield community took time Friday evening to pay respect to veterans past and present at Baxter Park for a modest ceremony on Veterans Day.
Lit luminary bags with personal messages lined the walkways to the park. Members of the Beckwith 110 American Legion Post led the ceremony, reading the names of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for this country. A moment of silence was held for them and taps was played on trumpet. The small crowd that gathered for the ceremony was invited back to the American Legion post for refreshments.
On Thursday, with a presentation of a Korean War veterans plaque.
