Tickets to Celebrate, Support Dwight-Derby House Go on Sale March 15

The Friends of the Dwight-Derby House will hold a Black and White Gala on May 19 to celebrate 15 years of saving and preserving the historic landmark. Tickets for the event go on sale on Thursday, March 15 at 9 a.m.

Fifteen years ago, a local group saved the Dwight-Derby House from demolition and those efforts will be celebrated this May with a gala at the 17th Century house.

On May 19, the Friends of the Dwight Derby House will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the purchase of this historic landmark with a Black and White gala on the premises of the house.

Residents are invited to purchase tickets to attend the event and help fund further restoration of the house, which includes a new kitchen and other "wish list" improvements.

About Friends of the Dwight-Derby House

Friends of the Dwight-Derby House was established 15 years ago to work toward the town purchase and it continues today to raise funds through grants, individual and corporate donations and sale of memorabilia for restoration and maintenance of the house. Restoration has also been accomplished through the donation of time, talent and effort by many local volunteers.

The May 19 gala will be the first large scale fundraising celebration to obtain the  funds needed to continue with the long range plans of the house.
