There is no school today in Medfield. Enjoy another vacation day, Medfield!

Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden has tweeted that there is no school in Medfield on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. 

Jan. 2, 2014 at 3 p.m. 

All Medfield Public Schools evening activities are canceled for Jan. 2, 2014.

Jan. 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. 

The roads are slippery, Medfield; travel with care.

Medfield Dance Academy has cancelled classes for tonight, Thursday, Jan. 2. A make-up will be scheduled at a later date.

The first storm of 2014 is underway as the initial flakes began falling after midnight on Thursday. During the day on Thursday there will be some accumulation, though much of the snow will come Thursday night into Friday before the storm ends by Friday afternoon.

I have a feeling that the absolute smartest thing to have done today was to get up early and head to either Mt. Wachusett or even just Blue Hill for first chair up the slope. Colorado champagne powder doesn't come to the Northeast all that often! Mt. Wachusett's ad on TV last night, with what was identified as video taken yesterday on the slope, showed some phenomenal conditions!
