Pet of the Week: Meet 'Penny'

Penny is currently available for adoption at the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Penny is an adorable 7-year-old Beagle who was surrendered when her owner went into assisted living. She has gorgeous blue tick markings and the sweetest face and personality. While she is grossly obese, she is already starting to lose weight and will do very well with an owner committed to carefully measuring her food and making her stick to a diet program in order to slim down to a healthier and more comfortable weight. She is gentle, wags her tail all the time, and loves attention. She loves toys and likes to carry one when she goes on walks. She enjoys her walks and we are taking her on several of them a day as part of her quest to win "The Biggest Loser" and go on to fame and fortune. She is housebroken, spayed, has a microchip and is up-to-date on her vet care. If you are interested in adopting a dog, fill out the Medfield Animal Shelter's dog adoption application or call the Shelter at (508) 359-8989.
