Pet of the Week: Meet 'Marge'

Marge is available for adoption at the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Marge, a 12-year-old cat is currently available for adoption at the Medfield Animal Shelter. Here's what the shelter had to say about this lap cat:

"Marge likes being a lap cat, loves to have her ears rubbed, purrs all the time and loves treats," the Shelter said. "She is very sweet, but is stressed to find herself at the shelter. She was a neighborhood cat owned by a family who also had two dogs and they kept all their pets outside all the time. Marge went to the neighbor's house in search of shelter in a storm last winter and they began to put food out for her and let her spend some time indoors. This continued even after her rescuer went to talk to her owner, who said she didn't care if she came home or not and she would not let her inside if she did return home. Her rescuer decided to bring her in and see if her own cats would accept her. Sadly, one of her older cats is in poor health and was not happy about having Marge in his house, so she is now at the shelter. Marge would probably be happiest as an only cat. Marge is part of our Seniors for Seniors program and there is no adoption fee if she is adopted as a companion for a senior."
