Officials Announce Date for 2014 Medfield Day

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Meetinghouse pond area.

The Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization (MEMO) announced this week that the annual Discover Medfield Day will return for its 35th year on Sept. 20.

As part of the annual event, more than 150 booths representing local businesses and organizations will be spread throughout the Meetinghouse Pond Area, while children will have the chance to take part in rides and activities in a "Kids Alley."

The theme of Medfield Day this year will be "Welcome to Medfield Day," according to the announcement this week. The theme is meant to reflect a welcoming atmosphere to newcomers to the town, and exhibitors will be tasked to come up with creative ways to represent the theme on their booths.

The exhibitor best representing the theme will win a free both at next year's event. Last year, Unique Homes won the theme challenge.

Registration for Medfield Day will open in early May. The event will kick off at 9 a.m. and run through 3 p.m., with Kid's Alley to remain open until 4 p.m.
