Medfield Transfer Station to Remain Open All Week for Residents

As a result of last weekend's October Nor'easter, the Medfield Transfer Station will be open all week to assist residents in their cleanup from the storm.

The Medfield Transfer Station will be open every day from Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all Medfield residents with valid transfer station stickers, according to the Town of Medfield.

The expanded hours are a result of this past weekend's October Nor'easter that caused mass power outages throughout town and many downed trees in the area. The additional hours of operation enables residents to clean up from the storm.

The transfer station schedule for the month of November is Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9a.m. to 4 p.m. A reminder, the Town of Medfield will not be picking up brush from private trees.

"The DPW is keeping the transfer station open through Sunday for people to get rid of anything that has spoiled in their refrigerators," said Assistant Town Administrator Kristine Trierweiler. "It's going to be open for brush, recycling and trash."
