Medfield to go 'Green' For Month of May

Residents will have several changes to recycle multiple items this month.

A group of Medfield residents is taking an annual day of "green" activity and expanding it into an entire month, according to the Hometown Weekly

Medfield Green, which aims to spread awareness about recycling and conservation, is hosting environmentally-minded activities throughout the entire of month of May.  

The effort is a collaboration of local officials and Medfield Green, and is sponsored by Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization (MEMO), according to MedfieldGreen.org.

Things kick off on Saturday, May 3, with an electronic recycling event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as a paper shredding event from 9 to noon. 

Other events to take place include a can and bottle drive, and a styrofoam recycling day.
