Are you curious about the drinking water in Medfield?
If so, officials in town have released an annual water quality report that reveals testing performed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2013.
Medfield, which obtains its water via five groundwater supply wells, adds chlorine as a precaution against bacteria that may be present in the water, though the report clarifies that the lowest quantity needed is added to protect the safety of the water without compromising taste.
The report includes data on regulated and secondary substances, and provides details on whether metrics fall within the low-to-high range. Medfield was not in violation of any testings.
