Medfield Lions to Host Shredding Event, Spring Gala

Residents will be able to shred old important documents at an event on May 3.

The Medfield Lions is poised to hold two community events in town this May. 

The first is a "Shredding Day," on which resident will have the chance to take old important documents and have them shredded through the company Doc Shredding Corp.

The shredding day will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Medfield Transfer Station. Residents can bring a limit of three boxes per person with a suggested donation of $10 per box. The event will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

On Saturday, May 17, the Lions will host its Spring Gala from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The program will include live music, featuring Better From a Distance, as well as appetizers, raffles and a cash bar.

Medfield resident Annie Clay, a mother of two who teaches boxing and boot camp instruction at a local fitness center, will also appear with the band at the event.

The cost for the gala is a suggested donation of $20 per person, the proceeds of which will benefit the Reach Out and Read Program for pre-school children at the Beth Israel Deaconess Family Medical Center in Medfield.
