Medfield Historical Society Holiday Party Set for Dec. 11

Medfield's Historical Society's holiday party will be held on Dec. 11 at the Medfield Public Library.

The will hold its annual winter holiday party Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the periodicals room, which was the historical society room from about 1920 to 1970.

Pictures from the society’s collection will be on display, along with other exhibits.  There will be refreshments, and pianists Charlotte Reinemann and Peter Gaines will provide the music.

This is a free members-only event, but non-members are welcome if they join and pay the annual dues at the door.

The Medfield Historical Society, established in 1891, is one of the oldest in the state. It offers five free public presentations each year on subjects relating to Medfield history; these are given the first Mondays of October, November, February, March, and April at the old meetinghouse (First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church).

The society’s museum at 6 Pleasant St. is open for historical research and conversation the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to noon.  The society’s Peak House is open Sunday afternoons in the summer. There are also several members-only events each year.
