Medfield Garden Club's Annual Holiday Greens Sale to be Held Saturday

The Medfield Garden Club will hold its annual holiday greens sale on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. at the Unitarian Church.

The Medfield Garden Club will be hosting its annual Holiday Greens Sale at the on North Street Saturday, Dec. 3rd from 10 a.m. to noon. 

Many types of beautifully decorated greens will be available to adorn local homes for the coming holiday season. Christmas wreaths, candle centerpieces, basket arrangements, cemetery baskets and the Club specialty – miniature boxwood trees will be on sale. 

"This is one of the Garden Club's main fundraisers and allows the club to maintain 20 sites to beautify the town throughout the year," said club president Nancy Tella. "The greens sale has been a very popular Medfield tradition for over 30 years and we have the community to thank for their support."

Wreaths are hung at the , the and the Gazebo and the many townside plantings are festooned with greenery and bows. The club's civic beautification program has been recognized by the Garden Federation of Massachusetts for both its scope and longevity.

This years' co-chairpersons, Donna McClennan and Jane Carter, along with other members have been making bows and other decorations for the greens arrangements since early October.

"Our greens are extremely fresh and beautiful and generally last well into the new year. It's a bargain," said Tella.
