Medfield Animal Shelter Receives Grant to Establish a Spay/Neuter Clinic for Cats

Foundation for MetroWest awarded a $1,000 grant to the animal shelter to help establish a small in-house clinic for cats which will replace the now-discontinued mobile vet. Affordable services will be offered to lower-income pet owners and owners at risk

The Medfield Animal Shelter has received a $1,000 grant from Foundation for MetroWest as part of its 2011 grant cycle.  The award was made this week at an event held at Mass Audubon’s Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Natick where a total of $162,000 was distributed to organizations throughout the region.

The Medfield Animal Shelter was awarded the grant to help establish a small in-house spay/neuter clinic for cats replacing the now discontinued mobile vet.  The clinic will provide affordable service to lower-income pet owners and owners at risk for relinquishing or abandoning their pets.
