A community forum on preventing Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses will be held Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at The Center in Medfield.
"The goal is to educate community members on how to protect your family and pets from tick-borne illnesses, including Lyme disease," the Lyme Disease Study Committee said in an e-mail to Medfield Patch.
The forum is hosted by the Medfield Lyme Disease Study Committee and will feature three speakers:
- Lester Hartman, MD from Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics
- Jessica Young, DVM from Medfield Veterinary Clinic
- Jean Sniffin, RN, Medfield's Board of Health public health nurse
Information on personal, pet and property protection as well as local tick-borne illnesses will be discussed.
