Grab & Go Kids Planner: Scarecrows, Concerts and Haunted Houses

Build a scarecrow with your kids, rock out at some kids concerts and visit a haunted house.

  • Don't get spooked but every Sunday beginning Oct. 9 through Oct. 30 the Orpheum Theatre in Foxborough invites children to the Kiddie Kraze Haunted House from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is $5.
  • Children's musician Stevesongs also known as Mr. Steve on PBS will be performing in Arlington on Saturday at the Regent Theatre at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information click here.
  • The Children's Discovery Museum in Acton presents a Children's Concerton Saturday, Oct. 8th, at 2 p.m. featuring Rolie Polie Guacamole, a delightful, healthy food-themed band that will entertain and teach at the same time! A good time for all! Admission is $10.
  • Bring your finished Scarecrow to Bacon Free Library in Natick on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and employees of the Charles River Coffee House will help you set it up. Or set it up yourself on another day.  Stakes and tying supplies can be had at the Charles River Coffee House located across from the library. A $10 registration fee will benefit the Bacon Free Library. Prizes will be awarded for "Best Traditional Scarecrow" and "Best Alternative Scarecrow" in the categories of: "Youth," "Adults," "Group," "Family" and "Business."
