5 Things: MHS Music Banquet, Library Events and Spring Sports

Here's a look at the day ahead for Tuesday, May 22.

Today's Forecast: Tuesday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for chance of showers. Areas of fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming east around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 2 a.m. Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 57. South wind between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Notable Events:

  • will host a Music Banquet & Awards Night in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. All chorus, band and orchestra students and families are invited to attend this annual event. Admission is $10.
  • The Gazebo Players of Medfield, will hold their final night of open auditions for their 11th annual “Shakespeare In The Park” production: William Shakespeare’s ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA. Auditions will be held at the T. A. , Pound St., Medfield, at 7:30 p.m.  ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA will be performed on two consecutive weekends: July 28th and 29th at the Gazebo next to the Medfield Public Library, and Aug. 4th and 5th at the Music Court in Bird Park, Walpole.

  • Cliff Calderwood, of  New England Local Marketing, will hold a workshop entitled: "Take Your Business to the Internet" in the meeting room at 11 a.m. Learn how to reach 97 percent of customers who check the Internet for local business before contacting you through: Local Internet marketing, Web Sites, Search Engines, Targeted Email, Social Media and google. This free workshop is offered by The Business & Job Resource Center.
  • Explore your Jewish ancestry with a Jewish Genealogy workshop led by expert Fred Davis, former president of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston. This event begins at 7 p.m. Please register for this event HERE or call the library at (508) 359-4544.

 Warriors' Tuesday:

  • Girls' lacrosse travels to Dover-Sherborn for a 6:30 p.m. game.
  • Boys' tennis travels to Needham for a 3:45 p.m. match.
  • Girls' tennis hosts Neeham at 4 p.m.
