The Community Singers Rehearsals

The Community Singers, a chorus of about 50 members from Medfield and surrounding towns, under the direction of David Giessow, will begin spring rehearsals for their fall 2011 program tonight from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

This non-audition group of singers meets to rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 in the sanctuary of The United Church of Christ, 496 Main Street, Medfield through June 13th and then returns early in September to begin preparing for their 22nd Annual Concert on November 20th.

Selections this year feature several pieces by Lowell Mason to honor “the father of music education” and composer of over 1600 hymn tunes. The group will also be performing some selections from Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom as well as some ever-popular spirituals and Broadway collections.
