Does Park Street Books Ever Close?

Park Street Books & Toys at 504 Main Street is open 362 days a year, including Labor Day. 

Owner Jim James says his store, the largest children's bookstore in New England, is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas only.

"I feel it is important to be available for people to have something to visit and do in Medfield when other things might be closed," James told Patch. "I love being in the store and never feel I need a break (except from paperwork)." 

So, if you're uptown on Labor Day, be sure to stop by between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and give our local bookstore owner a break from his paperwork.
