Here's a look at today's events.

 

1. Forecast for Tuesday: The National Weather Service based in Taunton calls for a mostly sunny day.  High near 87.  Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.  Tuesday night: Slight chance of showers after 2 a.m. otherwise mostly cloudy.  Low around 65.  Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.

2.  Meetings:

3. Library Events: 

  • Open today: 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Chess Club, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Ages 6 and up, Conference Room; with local chess expert, Siddharth Arun.  Registration requested
  • 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Backyard Astronomy, Meeting Room.  Ages 8 and up. Registration requested.
    • Jim Zebrowski from Aldrich Astronomical Society, Inc. will teach would-be astronomers how to identify fascinating objects in the night sky with thrilling photos, hands-on displays, and door prizes! Bring your telescope or binoculars! After the show, the group will go to Hospital Hill for an outdoor observation.
