• As part of , Aaron Lansky will speak at the Lowell Mason Auditorium of tonight at 7 p.m. Lansky, recipient of a MacArthur "Genius" Award is the President of the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Mass. and author of the award-winning book "Outwitting History, the Amazing Adventures of a Man Who Rescued a Million Yiddish Books."The community is invited to participate in this unique and special engagement as the man who spearheaded what has been called "the greatest cultural rescue effort in Jewish history" recounts his poignant, intrepid, and often riotous quest to safeguard a vanishing civilization. will be on hand to sell copies of the book to have signed after the presentation.

• Jaie3 salon.spa.beautique will hold a Meditation Monday, event led by expert reikki healer and experienced yoga instructor Kim Petrucci tonight from 6:30PM to 7:30PM. Petrucci will guide students on how to best utilize meditation through a brief introduction and help them practice different types of meditation, such as visualization, sound, breath and heart meditation. The class will end with a guided, healing mediation that leaves students feeling calm, cool and collected!  The cost is $15.00 and space is limited to 20 students!
