Today's Forecast: Tuesday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for increasing clouds, with a high near 44. Calm wind becoming south between 8 and 11 mph. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. South wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

  • Tickets are now available for the upcoming "Parents Night Out" Event for the Medfield High School graduating class of 2012 sponsored by the Medfield High School Alumni Association. Parents of the Class of 2012 are invited to enjoy a night out to celebrate the Class of 2012's upcoming graduation at the Medfield American Legion Hall on Saturday, March 3rd from 7 to 11 p.m. This event will feature a cash bar and a light snack at a cost of $15 per person or $25 per couple. Proceeds will benefit the class of 2012. Tickets are available at Lord's or by contacting one of the following committee members: Colleen Diana (bcdiana@comcast.net), Kim Estes (knestes@aol.com), and Michele Bernard (meb123@comcast.net).

The Medfield Library will host a variety of school vacation activities for children today:

  • The first of three Scrapbooking Workshops for Children in grades 3-6 will be held today from 3 to 4 p.m. Children are asked to bring in photos to preserve their memories with materials provided by the library. 
  • Children in Grades 2 to 4 are invited to stop by the library from 3 to 5 p.m. to participate in Folk Tale Skits with members of Medfield Girl Scout Troop 74900. The girl scouts will read aloud a different folk tale each day and then help children to create and perform a new ending for each tale.
  • The TARGET High School Advisory & Socrates Cafe Philosophy Club will meet at 5 p.m.
