New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Saturday Night: A chance of showers. Patchy fog after 9 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Sunday: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. West wind at 9 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Notable Events:

• A Multi-Family Yard Sale will be held on 101 Main St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Furniture, toys, household items and books are some of the things for sale. There will also be one held on 18 Emerson Rd. on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sporting goods, golf clubs, skis, rugs, DVDs, CDs, books, guitar and household items will be sold.

• Family Games and Crafts at the Medfield Public Library will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Children of all ages are invited to stop by the activity room every Saturday to participate in board games, puzzles and crafts. The program lasts until noon.

Fall Craft Shows: The area welcomes the first weekend of October with a couple of fall craft shows. On Saturday, there will be an Autumn in New England Craft Show at 1077 Pond St. in Franklin, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $1 for adults; seniors are 50 cents and kids are free. There will be free door prizes. Over 50 crafters and vendors with high quality items on display. Start your holiday shopping early and find unique gifts here for everyone in the family. Then in Norwood, also on Saturday, there will be a Fall Craft Show held at the town’s senior center at 275 Prospect St. beginning at 9 a.m.

Medfield Youth Baseball Championship Day: Sunday is a full day of Medfield Youth Baseball championship games, beginning at 9 a.m. and a skill challenge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., all . Here’s a look at the day’s events:

  • 9 a.m. - 3rd Grade Championship Game
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - 1st/2nd Grade Skill Challenge
  •   1 to 3 p.m. - 4th/5th Grade Championship Game
  •   3 to 5 p.m. - 6th/7th Grade Championship Game
