Weekend Forecast: Saturday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for sunny, with a high near 49. North wind between 5 and 8 mph. Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 30. Calm wind. Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 55. Calm wind becoming southwest between 7 and 10 mph. Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 34. Southwest wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Medfield Lions Club Hosts 3rd Annual Chowderfest: The Medfield Lions Club will host their third Annual Medfield Chowder Cookoff Chowderfest Saturday at the Center at Medfield from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. What a perfect way to spend a cold Saturday afternoon tasting and voting on your favorite chowder from local restaruants and markets. Cost is $8 per person which includes chowder tasting, rolls, soda and coffee. Proceeds to benefit the Friends of Seniors (FOSI).

Bob Katz to Perform at Medfield's North Street Coffeehouse: The North Street Coffeehouse, located at  of Medfield, invites you to an evening of open mic and a featured performance by Bob Katz. The North Street Coffeehouse will host its final night of music beginning at 7 p.m. Janet McKetchnie will begin the open mic portion at 7 p.m., followed by a musical performance by Bob Katz. Music of any genre, poetry, prose, or comedy are all welcome. Refreshments are available. Also, the North Street Coffeehouse will be collecting new or gently worn coats, gloves, hats, sweaters and scarves for their annual "Share The Warmth Program." Pricing: Admission is $10, or $5 for open mikers.

New N' Towne's First Newcomers Social: New N' Towne's first Newcomers Social is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6 at 7:30pm. It is being hosted by Dave and Minta Hissong at their home at 27 Hawthorne Dr.
