5 Things You Need to Know in the Week Ahead: Sept. 12-18

Here's a quick look at the week ahead in Medfield.

Five-Day Forecast: Expect a fairly dry week in Medfield with only Wednesday and Thursday the likely days for rain, according to weather.com. Monday calls for mostly sunny and a high of 78. Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 79. There's a chance of thunderstorms on Wednesdsay with a high near 79 and a chance of rain on Thursday with a high near 66. Friday will likely be mostly sunny with a high near 63.

Town Meetings: Medfield Planning Board will meet at 8 p.m. Monday. The Medfield Library Trustees will meet at the library at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Medfield Housing Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Warriors Week in Sports: On Monday, the Medfield boys' and girls' cross country teams host Dover-Sherborn at 3:30 p.m. and will travel to Norton on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Medfield girls' soccer hosts Dover-Sherborn at 5 p.m. while the boys' soccer team travels to D-S for a 6:45 p.m. game. The girls' soccer team hosts Medway on Friday followed by the boys' game vs. the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Medfield boys' golf will host Ashland on Wednesday at 3 p.m. and play Medway on Thursday at 3 p.m. Medfield field hockey travels to Holliston for a 6:30 p.m. game and hostst Bellingham at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Medfield girls' vollyeball team will host Medway Friday at 6:30 p.m. The Medfield High School football team will travel to Wrentham to take on King Philip on Friday at 7 p.m.

Medfield Events: 

  • Monday's Needs and Leads Networking Group at the will meet at 10:30 a.m.
  • Medfield Cub Scouts will hold a sign-up night at the on 59 Adams St. at 6:30 p.m.
  • Medfield Farmers' Market will be held Thursday from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the on North Street.
  • Drama Kids is starting Friday at the at 1 p.m.

32nd Annual Medfield Day: MEMO's 32nd Annual Medfield Day will kick off Saturday morning beginning at 9 a.m. This social event of the year consists of over 100 booths highlighting Medfield's local businesses, professionals, churches, schools and and organizations. Activities will include an entertainment stage, rides and a food court which includes sausages and hotdogs prepared by the Beckwith Post American Legion and the Medfield Fire Department. The fall fair, located around Meeting House Pond, is free and open to the public and is a rain or shine event.
