5 Things: Summer Concert, Farmers’ Market and State Hospital Committee Meeting

Here's a look at the day ahead for Thursday, June 14.

Today's Forecast: Thursday’s weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Northeast wind between 8 and 11 mph. Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.  

Meetings at

  • The Medfield Board of Assessors will meet in the Assessors office of Town Hall at 7:30 a.m.
  • The Medfield Board of Water and Sewer will meet in the Warrant Meeting Room at 7 p.m. to discuss water and sewer master plans and budget reports.

  • The Pattycake Place interactive story time will be held from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. in the Activity Room.
  • The Book Bunch (read a book and make a craft) will be held from 11:30 a.m. to noon in the Activity Room.
  • Final Exams Study Night will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. Thursday for high school students to study for their final exams.  Free pizza, snacks and drinks will be available for students after 6:30 p.m. Areas for quiet study and groups are also available.

Medfield State Hospital Redevelopment Committee Meets Thursday: The Medfield State Hospital Redevelopment Committee will meet at the site at 7 p.m. to tour the property.

Medfield Farmers’ Market: Every Thursday through October, the Medfield Farmers’ Market will be open from 2 to 6:30 p.m. on the grounds of the at 26 North St. Fresh produce and food including honey, jams, jellies, breads and more will be offered by local farmers and producers. Parking is available behind the church.

MEMO’s Summer Concert Series: MEMO’s Summer Concert series kicks off Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Gazebo Park adjacent to the Medfield Public Library. The Medfield High School Jazz Band will begin the summer concert season with a performance Thursday. For more information, .
