Today is Patriots' Day which commemorates the battle of Lexington and Concord and also signifies the running of the Boston Marathon. There will be 15 Medfield residents running in Monday's Boston Marathon. They are:

Patriots Day Forcast:  According to the National Weather Service based in Taunton calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

and the on North Street will both be closed this week for April Vacation. Classes resume on Monday, April 23.

In observance of Patriots' Day, the following places in the town of Medfield will be closed today:

Notable Events:

• Vine Lake Preservation Trust will hold a special presentation by a Minuteman and author at the historic gravesite as well as the distribution of the first-ever map and guide to the Old Section. Resplendent in his uniform, Sam Forman will conduct two short presentations at the gravesite of Mercy Scollay, Medfield’s well-deserving but little recognized Daughter of Liberty. Forman will announce his 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. presentations by the firing of his musket. Between 10 a.m. and noon, Vine Lake Preservation Trust will distribute its long-awaited free map and guide to Vine Lake Cemetery’s Old Section. ‘Walk Among the Shadows’ is a 50-site guide to memorials featuring famous and noteworthy persons as well as gravestone art. Please enter the cemetery at the lower entrance on Main Street, park on the roads around the lake, and climb the steps to the Old Section.

• Warriors' Monday: The boys' varsity lacrosse team hosts Billerica Memorial High School at 4 p.m.
