Today's Forecast: Thursday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for a chance of showers, mainly between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. North wind between 8 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind around 10 mph.

Notable Events:

  • CSA will hold a Book Fair at tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. This family friendly event will feature Face Painting, Mystery Readers and Paint your own pottery. 20 percent of proceeds will be donated to the Dale Street School CSA towards the purchase of tech equipment. Call-in orders will also be accepted during the sale hours by calling (508) 242-3083.
  • The Medfield High School Concert Choir, eighth grade chorus, eighth grade string orchestra and Medfield High School orchestra will perform a Spring Concert tonight at 7 in the Medfield High School Auditorium.

  • Pattycake Place Story Time will take place at 10:45 a.m. Children, ages 0-23 months old are invited to particpate in the interactive storytime with their caregivers.
  •  Also at the library today, will be the Book Bunch Storytime, beginning at 11:30 a.m. for preschoolers, ages 2 and up.

Warriors' Thursday

  • The Medfield boys' volleyball team will open its season at St. John's Prep School at 6 p.m.

Meetings at :

  • Medfield's Affordable Housing Committee is expected to meet Thursday from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. in Town Hall. Gatehouse Companies, according to Medfield selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson's blog, is expected to meet with the committee. Gatehouse Companies is behind the affordable housing apartment complex expected to be proposed on West Street.
  • Medfield's Downtown Study Committee will meet tonight at 6 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall. View the agenda by clicking here
