5 Things: Planning Board and School Committee Meetings; MHS State Tournament Games

Here's a look at the day ahead for Monday, June 4.

Today's Forecast: Monday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for showers likely. Patchy fog between noon and 3 p.m., then Patchy fog after 5 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 57. North wind between 10 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Monday Night: A chance of showers. Patchy fog before 8 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 49. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Notable Events: 

  • The Planning Board will meet at 8 p.m. in the on the second floor.
  • The Medfield School Committee will meet at the at 7:30 p.m.
  • Students from Blake Middle School's sixth, seventh and eighth grade band and seventh and eighth grade orchestra will perform a concert at the beginning at 7 pm.

  • The softball team will travel to Abington to play in the Division 2 South Sectional first round at 3:30 p.m. against Abington.

  • The Medfield High School girls' tennis team hosts Hopkinton in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m.
