Weekend Forecast: Saturday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 75. South wind between 5 and 15 mph. Saturday Night: Showers likely, mainly after 2 a.m. Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 52. Southwest wind between 3 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Sunday: Showers. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. High near 56. Northeast wind between 6 and 9 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Sunday Night: Showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 46. East wind between 10 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Weekend Events in the Area:

Earth Day: Earth Day is Sunday, April 22 but groups and individuals will pay tribute on Saturday when they mobilize to clean up the Charles River. Last year over 3,000 volunteers worked to remove 50 tons of trash along the 80 miles stretch of the Charles River from Boston to Bellingham. Dwight-Derby Gala Tickets on Sale: From 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Friends of the Dwight-Derby House will be selling tickets to its May 19th Gala outside the house at 7 Frairy St.

Tickets, which are limited to 200 in number, cost $75 per person and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. They are also available for purchase at Groups of 10 people may reserve a table by emailing tickets-gwarren@thomasandwarrenllc.com.

Wishes for William: The eighth annual Wishes for William Scrapbooking Fundraiser will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pfaff Center. An incredible amount of supplies and resources will be available to help you organize your photos into a keepsake that your family will treasure forever. The registration fee of $50 will go to benefit families of SMA (Spinal muscular atrophy). Snacks and lunch will also be provided.
