Post Office Food Drive: On Saturday May 12, postal drivers will collect any bags of food left next to, or hanging from the flags of, mailboxes on their routes and deliver them to the Medfield Food Cupboard. have resulted in thousands of contributed items, which fill the shelves before the summer. The postal workers are ready – now they need your help to make the drive successful. The items especially needed at this time include: juice (boxes or bottle), white tuna in water, canned fruit (pears, fruit cocktail), canned pasta, pasta sauce, canned chicken, peanut butter, cereal, and macaroni and cheese. The Medfield Food Cupboard cannot accept perishable, expired or opened items, as these may items will not be used and must be thrown away.

Woodland Theatre Company Presents Guys and Dolls:The Woodland Theatre Company, based in Medfield, is performing two shows of "Guys and Dolls" this weekend. "Guys and Dolls" is a comedy musical tale set in New York City in the mid 20th Century and explores what happens between gambling men and gangsters and the showgirls and missionary dolls who desire to tame them.  "Guys and Dolls" is based on the Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser; Book by Jo Swerling & Abe Burrows; Directed by Doug Hodge and Music Direction by Chris Holownia. Showtimes are Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 13 at 2 p.m. in the Lowell Mason Auditorium of Medfield High School. Cost is $30 and tickets can be purchased HERE.

Mother's Day Weekend Plant Sale: The annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale features beautiful geraniums, annuals, herbs, vegetables and hanging baskets from Mahoney’s of Winchester. Proceeds benefit The Red Thread Promise and Camp Jake, an outreach project to help children from St. Vincent's Center for Handicapped Children in Haiti attend summer camp. The sale will be held at the Church of the Advent from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.
