5 Things for the Weekend: Chinese Language Workshop, Library Book Sale and Rabies Clinic

Here's a look at the weekend ahead for March 24-25.

Weekend Forecast: Saturday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. East wind around 6 mph becoming south. Saturday Night: Showers likely, mainly after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 44. South wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Sunday: Showers likely, mainly before 3 p.m. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 50. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Sunday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 8 p.m. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. North wind between 3 and 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Weekend Events:

Friends of the Library Book Sale: Stop by the beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for the Friends of the Library Book Sale. Bags of books can be filled for $5. The event runs until 3 p.m. and there's plenty of great deals to be had on great reads.

Children's Chinese Language Workshop at the Library: Chinese exchange teacher Miss Li and a MHS student who studies chinese, will teach children the language through games and activites. This free workshop is open for children in grades 2-5. Register for this event by calling the library at (508) 359-4544 x 8014 or visit www.medfieldlibrary.org. The event begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Low Cost Rabies Clinic at the Medfield Animal Shelter: The Medfield Animal Shelter will be holding their annual low cost rabies clinic on Saturday, March 24 at the shelter. The rabies clinic is open to all pet owners and the cost is $10 per pet. Medfield dog licenses will also be available at the clinic. Dr. Heather Cochran will be vaccinating cats from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and dogs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.
