Rockland Trust Charitable Foundations Awards $2,500 Scholarship to Medfield High School Graduate

The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation today announced that Colleen McLoughlin, a 2013 graduate of Medfield High School, is a recipient of the 2013 Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation Scholarship.  McLoughlin is one of 10 students from the Foundation’s service area who received a $2,500 scholarship.  The Foundation chose recipients based on financial need, academic achievement, character, and community involvement.   McLoughlin will attend Cornell University in the fall.

Ralph Valente, Rockland Trust Senior Vice President and Director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation; Arthur Viana, First Vice President and Director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation; and Kerri Pigott, First Vice President and Metro West District Manager presented the scholarship to McLoughlin during a reception in the bank’s Franklin office on June 19, 2013.

“Rockland Trust is pleased to support academic excellence and community involvement within young people in our service area,” said Valente.  “We are confident that this scholarship will help Colleen, an ambitious, bright young woman, succeed educationally and personally.”
