Medfield resident recognized by Jimmy Fund Golf

BOSTON, Mass. – More than 160 volunteer-run tournaments were recognized by the Jimmy Fund on Feb. 7 at the Yawkey Center for Cancer Care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, for their commitment to the Jimmy Fund Golf program. By organizing golf tournaments, they helped raise more than $6.4 million in 2013 for adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber through Jimmy Fund Golf, one of the largest and oldest grassroots charity golf programs in the nation. 

Shown being recognized for their outstanding efforts is Bill Grigg of Medfield, Mass., and Jon Rosenberg of Natick, Mass. They helped organize the Ted Golf Tournament at The International Golf Club, raising $140,600 for Dana-Farber. 

Jimmy Fund Golf is one of the oldest and largest charity golf programs in the country. Now in its 32nd year, Jimmy Fund Golf has raised more than $97 million to support adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. From traditional golf tournaments and country club member events to mini golf tournaments and day-long golf marathons, golfers of all ages and skill levels can conquer cancer through Jimmy Fund Golf.
