Medfield High School students receive award for Jimmy Fund Golf fundraiser

Medfield High School Student Council was awarded the “Top Ten Projects Award” at the MASC (Massachusetts Association of Student Councils) Spring Conference in March. Selected from numerous Student Council projects across Massachusetts, Medfield's 2013 “Putting for Patients” was recognized as one of the ten most outstanding student council projects staged during the 2012-2013 year.

The second annual “Putting for Patients Miniature Golf Fundraiser” was held Saturday, April 12 at Medfield High School. The mini golf event raised more than $4,000 for adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund Golf program. Students, families and community members played the 18-hole portable mini golf course at the Medfield High School gymnasium.

Putting for Patients events are held at several high schools throughout Greater Boston. For more information on how you can start a mini golf event in your area, please visit www.jimmyfundgolf.org/minigolf or call the Jimmy Fund Golf office at 866-521-GOLF.
