Field Hockey Teams wins 1-0 over Medway

The Medfield High School Field Hockey team defeated Medway today
1-0, improving their record to 9-3-2 overall and 9-2 in the league. The game was tied 0-0 at halftime.  The game winning goal came with 19:32 remaining in the second half. The lone goal was scored by Junior Collen Gair, assisted by Senior Meredith Sloan. Junior Xena Ras had an amazing game in goal for the Warriors. Xena turned away 9 shots many of them acrobatic saves. Senior Abby Johnson played very well at center back on defense.  The Warriors now head to Bishop Fenwick in Peabody on Monday (Columbus Day) 10am start.
